RIP Jimmy Copley

» Posted on May 14, 2017 | 2 comments

My friend Jimmy Copley lost his battle with Leukemia the day after Mike Clement and I went to visit him in hospital. So sad… he was a brilliant drummer and a fantastic man. He worked with me on my solo album and on the Dep Sessions with Glenn Hughes and myself. We had some great times together and lots of laughs. He was a really wonderful person who loved playing. We’ll miss you Jimmy. My condolences to his family at this time.

RIP my friend,
Tony

  1. I’m so sorry to hear of your friends passing. Love, prayers to you and Mr. Copley’s family

  2. I recently discovered UPP’s music and I was amazed by the rhythm section. Jimmy was a incredible drummer. That led me to googling his name and discovering that he had sadly passed away. Cancer is a insidious disease. May he RIP , my condolences to his family and friends. Best wishes, Daniel Combs
