Tony hailed as one of Classic Rock’s ‘Icons Of Rock’

The December issue of Classic Rock features the magazine’s choice of their 100 Icons Of Rock. And no surprises that the list features Tony. Kory Clarke shares his thoughts – “Tony Iommi’s guitar tone is awesome, and it’s got such power. Listen to him on the song Black Sabbath – he defined heavy metal on the spot….There’s nothing the man can’t play….The amazing thing is that he’s still doing it today, and looks so great….this is the master of the riff – and where would the music we all love be without Tony Iommi?” The full list, which includes the likes of Jimmy Page, Ronnie James Dio, Rory Gallagher, Jim Morrison, Billy Gibbons and Rob Halford, is in the current issue of Classic Rock.
